La Cala Golf Courses Costa Del Sol. We have now played ALL three golf courses at La Cala. We played the North and South courses in 2004, which were magnificent. The 3rd course "Europa" was under construction at the time, so we decided to play this course this year. We played at the end of September. WHAT A COURSE!! This is probably one of the best courses we have played in Spain, and we have played a few now over the last 8 years. It's not a course for the faint hearted. This is a "thinking" golfers course. If you are going to the Costa Del Sol for a golf holiday, DEFINITELY put this course on you agenda.

Marbella Golf & Country Club. I've played this course on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress. This course is without a doubt one of the most difficult that I've encountered in the Marbella region but it's great fun to play with some spectacular holes. Although the Marbella Club is a bit more expensive it is worth it because you can always get on the course (even at short notice) and the pace of play is usually pretty quick. You will need a buggy!

About Alhaurin Golf. "The Dobbers" Our golf society, has played this course on 2 trips now and I can best describe it thus. If you go to Blackpool, you want to ride "The Pepsi Max" If you visit Niagra you'd imagine going over the Falls in a barrel. Well now you can. Forget the scorecard, buy a bag of lake balls and climb on your buggy for the ride of your life. Have fun! That's what the game is all about. Stunning scenery, wonderful course, staff and club. I may be too old for off piste snowboarding, but this course sure sets my pulse racing. Enjoy!

Cabopino Golf. Course is in really great shape! The layout is very good as a good player can make birdie on just about any hole if played perfectly. At the same time watch out for the easy double bogey that can get you pretty quick too. Good shots are always rewarded; it's easy to get in trouble, too. Overall I consider the course challenging but very fair.
